What did you love about YA?
I loved my work because I was learning hands-on laboratory skills at a world-leading company. There was a sense that big things were happening there and it was exciting.
How did YA influence your plans after high school?
While I was already interested in studying the biological sciences, the YA Program placed me right at the heart of industry and exposed me to the excitement that sits at the intersection of discipline and discovery. The program opened my eyes to multiple paths into the sciences and led me to study microbiology in college.
What do you want others to know about YA?
The YA Program is a terrific way to invest your time. The people you meet and skills you gain stick with you!
